Sector specialists can be flexible too, says Nordea analyst

Sector specialists are a common feature of investment teams at large asset managers, but it's a misunderstanding to see them as one-trick ponies, a Nordea analyst tells AMWatch.

The financials sector has a 19.43 percent weighting in the MSCI Europe Index, making it the single largest European equity sector.

So for a large asset manager offering actively-managed European equity strategies, it seems crucial to have an analyst covering the continent's listed banks, asset managers and insurance companies.
