Small cap specialist in new role: Fundamental analysis more important than ever

Although you might consider moving to Dublin after 20 years of investing from Copenhagen a big change, Kalle Huhdanmäki does not think of his new job at Canadian asset manager Mackenzie Investments as the biggest change in his career. Instead, the former Nordea and SEB fund manager considers going into European Small and Mid Caps his greatest change ­ and achievement. He tells AMWatch why.

After almost eight years at Nordea Asset Management, Kalle Huhdanmäki took on his new role as Portfolio Manager of European Small and Mid Cap Equities at Canadian-headquartered Mackenzie Investments in October 2019. He has moved to Dublin, which is home to Mackenzie’s European headquarters.
