Stockholm-based fund distributor House of Reach has hired Henrik Bak as advisor. Bak has 40 years in the investment industry, including roles as head of clients and institutional business at Danske Capital, several management positions at Nordea Investment Management and as president and CEO of Nordea Securities.
"I began as an Independent Advisor to asset management firms three years ago and it is now a pleasure for me joining forces with House of Reach and their ambitions in The Nordics," Bak says in a statement.
"We share a mutual view on future developments in the industry, and I see a lot of value for our clients in joining forces. On top of being a real long-term business value creator with ambitious ideas and with deep client relationships, I also really enjoy being around the House of Reach team," he adds.
Breaking down barriers
According to the statement, House of Reach is aiming to take down barriers of entry for talented alternative asset managers matching now also the Danish Institutional investors, who together with all Nordic markets are more active as well as more sophisticated than their international peers.
Managing Partner Fredric Andersén is excited to tie Bak as advisor to expend its presence in the Danish market.
"Henrik will even further strengthen the House of Reach’s capacity of being what we define as an outsourced C-suite within asset management in the Nordics," Andersén says.
Second Nordic entrance within a few months
In August, House of Reach announced that it was entering the Norwegian market and had hired Knut Nordenhaug to spearhead that business push.
Similar to Bak, Nordenhaug is experienced in the domestic asset management market.
"Our ambition is to build up value in the Nordic region for world-class players. This could be Swedes, Norwegians, Danes or Finns. They could also be global players. We will build up their presence and long-term sustainable value," Peter Dahlgren, founder of House of Reach said then.
