Danish pension investments in alternatives hits milestone ­ but central bank calls for caution

Solvency and liquidity should be considered by some of the pension companies when evaluating whether to increase exposure to alternative investment even further, Denmark's Central Bank warns.

Pension funds in Denmark have now invested  more than DKK 500bn (EUR 67bn) in alternative investments. That is sensible, but there is a flipside, the Danish Central Bank (Nationalbanken) reports based on an analysis.
