ATP to categorize companies based on new climate goals: "It will be a huge amount of work"

Danish state pension fund ATP has long been moving in a climate friendly direction, but had not set concrete goals, says CEO Bo Foged. Now, however, the goal has been set, and the pension company has a huge task ahead when it comes to characterizing firms based on international standards.

ATP has pledged to invest DKK 200bn (EUR 27bn) in sustainable assets by 2030. This will be a tough challenge, as the EU taxonomy and disclosure regulation for green investments is not yet in place, but it cannot wait, Bo Foged, CEO at ATP, tells AMWatch's sister media FinansWatch.
