BNY Mellon IM subsidiary hires Swede as global head of sustainable investment

Newton Investment Management has appointed the new driver of the firm's global responsible investment plan. She will report directly to CEO Euan Munro.

BNY Mellon Investment Management subsidiary Newton Investment Management has hired Therese Niklasson as its global head of sustainable development, according to a statement forwarded to AMWatch.

She joins the firm from Ninety One Plc, the firm previously known as Investec, where she was also the global head of sustainability.

Prior to that, she was the global head of ESG and head of ESG research at the firm.
