Hyped climate ETF in danger of closing

Despite commitments from a number of major banks and companies, climate ETF NTZO is on the verge of closing due to insufficient capital.

During the COP26 summit in Glasgow in 2021, Impact Shares launched a highly anticipated ETF to give investors the chance to invest in climate friendly companies on the MSCI index. The fund, called NTZO, was launched with UN backing, and several large banks promised to invest in the vehicle – but according to the Financial Times, the fund is on the brink of closing, having received investments of just USD 2m.
