Storebrand Asset Management has appointed a new Head of Institutional Clients in Sweden. Anna Jönsson, who has been on Storebrand Asset Management’s institutional client team since 2017, is taking the step up in the organization.

The previous head of the operation, Lars Pettersson, is taking a step down but remaining within the company to focus more on the operational work of building client relations.

This recent change also comes hot on the heels of the hiring of Elias Cicek as a institutional client director, as recently reported by AMWatch. He joined Storebrand from Carneo-owned manager Carnegie but also has 11 years at pensions company Skandia behind him.

In a statement, Storebrand AM writes that the company is growing on the Swedish market and that the institutional client base has tripled in the last five years.

“We’re now continuing our growth with renewed force and a strengthened team. Now the focus is entirely on existing and new customers and to ensure that more can get access to our offering,” Jørgen Hjemdal, Nordic Head of Institutions, says in the statement.
