CIP's green fund issues EUR 70m loan facility to Spanish developer

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has just completed its first investment from CI Green Credit Fund I, issuing a EUR 70m loan facility to Spanish Capital Energy.

Back in February, CIP launched its CI Green Credit Fund I with the aim of providing capital for private renewable energy projects.

These include both green- and brownfield projects in a slew of sectors from onshore and offshore wind to solar to biomass to storage and transmission assets. Now the first investment is finalized with the choice falling on wind energy.
