DKK 46bn (EUR 6.18bn) Danish pension fund LD Fonde has awarded a high-yield corporate bond mandate to London-headquartered asset manager Insight Investment.

Insight specializes in liability driven investment, fixed income and currency, multi-asset and absolute return strategies. It’s a subsidiary of BNY Mellon and has EUR 842.4 in assets under management.

UK media MandateWire was the first to report on the news.

LD’s mandate award comes after a search launched in August 2021 and Insight will initially manage a DKK 1.8bn (EUR 242m) portfolio.

AMWatch has reached out to LD Fonde for a comment.

Insight Investments’ Business Development Manager for the Nordics, Johan Klevenstedt, says the firm is pleased to partner with the pension fund on a quantitatively managed fixed income mandate.

“Using our innovative and proprietary toolkit we are able to manage risks and harvest alpha in areas where clients have historically struggled to extract full value. The objective of our systematic high yield mandate is to deliver a liquid and cost-effective solution and we look forward to working with the LD Fonde team on this mandate,” he tells AMWatch in a written comment.
