Macquarie bets on network infrastructure, raises USD 13bn

The Australian firm’s Super Core Infrastructure Fund drew commitments from investors including insurers, sovereign wealth funds and family offices from 22 countries. Swedish buffer fund AP7 and Finnish pension giants Varma and Ilmarinen have previously invested in Macquarie’s funds.

Macquarie Group Ltd., one of the world’s largest infrastructure investors, raised EUR 12.6bn (USD 13.1bn) to bet on everything from gas networks to water treatment facilities, reports Bloomberg.
