In “divided” H1, US equities boost Finnish pensions giant’s portfolio

Finnish equities are performing poorly compared to other industrialized countries, and the country may be ”sliding into an industrial recession,” pension firm Varma says in its half-year report.

Varma continued its recovery from the downturn of 2022 in the year’s second quarter, but in terms of AUM as well as returns, the Finnish pensions giant still lags slightly behind its main competitor, Ilmarinen, the company’s half-year report shows.
