Article 8 funds have increased oil and gas exposure since SFDR introduction

It has been a ”terrible year” for renewables, while funds that promote environmental metrics are investing more in the oil and gas industry.

The world’s biggest ESG fund class, which sits on roughly USD 5trn of client assets, has raised its exposure to the oil and gas sector by about two-thirds since stricter regulations were enforced 2 1/2 years ago.
