Folketrygdfondet to manage new Nordic equity mandate

The fund will invest in smaller listed Nordic equities that are not included in the reference index of its existing and much larger equity fund, Government Pension Fund Norway (SPN).

Folketrygdfondet, which manages the domestic and Nordic part of Norway’s oil fund, has been tasked by the Norwegian Government to set up a new asset management unit with an AUM of up to NOK 30bn, the ministry writes in a press release.
