Tangen hopes to enter private equity fund market on favorable terms

The CEO of Norway’s oil fund finds it “frustrating” that it cannot invest in unlisted equities. He wants to expand the fund’s investment universe and is hoping for a government go-ahead.

For the third time, Norway’s wealthy oil fund is asking the country’s government to be allowed to invest in unlisted equities. And this time, the fund appears to be optimistic that it will succeed.
