In violation of fund policies, AP1's now former CEO purchased private shares in the IPO of a real estate company of which he had decided the pension fund should be a cornerstone investor.

Swedish state pension fund AP1 recently fired CEO Johan Magnusson because he signed up privately in the IPO of a real estate company in which AP1 was a key investor, an official statement by AP1's Board of Directors reveals on September 4.
